Recently I’ve performed a firewall migration that involved moving from a PA-500 physical HA pair to a Virtual Machine 100 model. I was worried I would have to build the new config on the VM 100 from scratch since they were not the same model. However, I was able to successfully export the config from the HA pair and load it into the VM 100. With a few minor tweaks I was able to commit the new config to the VM 100 and the upgrade was successful.
